Dominican Republic: Our meals, our voice

In the Dominican Republic, World Vision is advancing child-led research on school meals through its SUFICIENTE (ENOUGH) campaign, placing children’s voices at the centre of advocacy and programme development. Children led the research process by conducting interviews, focus groups, and surveys to explore the realities of school meal programmes in their communities. 

Their findings reveal key challenges in access and quality, while also highlighting their hopes for a future where every child receives nutritious meals at school. This initiative not only reflects the lived experiences and priorities of Dominican children but also contributes to national and global efforts to ensure school meals support learning, health, and equity.
