Ghana: Our meals, our voice

In Ghana, World Vision’s School Meals Child-led Research initiative, part of the broader ENOUGH campaign, empowers children to take the lead in transforming school meal programmes. Using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys, child researchers gathered insights directly from their peers. 

This participatory approach uncovered key challenges such as food quality, access, and sustainability, while also highlighting children’s hopes for a future where nutritious school meals are a right, not a privilege. By centring children’s voices in national and global advocacy, the initiative calls for inclusive, child-informed solutions to improve school nutrition across Ghana.
