Malawi: Our meals, our voice

In Malawi, World Vision’s School Meals Child-led Research initiative, part of the global ENOUGH campaign, empowers children to shape the future of school nutrition. Through interviews, focus groups, and surveys, child researchers collected insights from their peers, uncovering key issues such as food availability, nutritional value, and the impact of poverty on school meals. 

This child-led approach highlights not only the challenges faced by students but also their vision for a future where every child receives nutritious meals that foster academic success and personal growth. By amplifying children’s voices in advocacy efforts, the initiative calls for inclusive, sustainable solutions to strengthen school meal programs across Malawi.
