Clean Hands Promote Sustainability
World Vision, with the support of the Australian Government through the Water for Women fund was able to implement WASH programs into schools in Daru, Western Province. This story is about what was implemented and how the school still upholds these practices to encourage a safe and healthy school for all. With the permission of school head teacher Mr. Kose Lavaki, WV was able to meet with and interview some students who were nominated by the school board and WV to form a WASH club dedicated to protecting the WASH facilities given to them by WV.

Clean Water Restores Jessica's Educational Hope
At Kanchomba Primary School in Hamaundu, Zambia, 19-year-old Jessica’s life has been dramatically transformed thanks to World Vision’s work in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
Now in twelfth grade, Jessica recalls spending up to three hours each day fetching water. She would walk before school, at lunchtime, and again in the evening, often missing classes due to these lengthy trips.
