As the Ukraine Crisis Response enters its fourth year, the impact of war continues to devastate the lives of millions, particularly children. Over the past three years, World Vision has reached more than 2 million people, including nearly 1 million children, providing critical support such as education, mental health services, cash assistance, livelihoods, winterisation and protection initiatives. Despite these efforts, the challenges remain immense. Millions of children are still displaced, struggling to access the basic needs every child deserves, and deprived of their rights to safety, education, health and home.

It is with immense pleasure that we present to you our Impact Report for 2024 which covers our work and impact from October 1st, 2023, to September 30th, 2024. Throughout the report, we highlight stories of people who have been positively impacted by your donations, your hard work and your partnership with World Vision.

Food insecurity, which was already affecting over 15 million people before the quake, is now deepening. Families who were barely getting by now have nothing. Many people are sleeping on the streets, too afraid to return to their homes due to the ongoing threat of aftershocks. I remember one young girl who told me she hadn’t slept properly since the earthquake - every sound made her jump. What these families need is not just shelter, but safety, dignity, and a return to normalcy.

With unwavering dedication, the Ngourkosso Child Protection Network has addressed over 30 cases of violence, providing care and resolution for 26 of them, ensuring the safety and well-being of local children in this part of Chad.

World Vision’s impactful engagement at the 2025 N4G Summit drove nutrition commitments, child participation, and global advocacy for malnutrition solutions.

We are a group of young researchers in Thailand who conducted a study to better understand how climate change and disasters affect children in our communities. Through this research, we hope to contribute to the raising of awareness on the impacts of climate change and disasters in our communities. In recent years, our country has experienced severe heat waves due to climate change. This interrupts our daily activities, including our schooling and our families’ livelihood, and has also caused us children and adults alike to experience many health problems.
