With the support of over 2,200 staff, more than 99% of whom are local, we deliver impactful and sustainable solutions.

This article highlights the response to ongoing child malnutrition in Tshiyanda, where World Vision DRC has launched the Positive Deviance Hearth (PD Hearth) program, an intensive, community-based intervention focused on improving nutrition through 12-day educational sessions for caregivers and continuous support. With strong local participation and support from the Mutshatsha health zone, the program combines nutrition training, health monitoring, and income-generating initiatives to ensure sustainable improvements in child health. This initiative is part of the broader ENOUGH campaign, aiming to drive long-term behavioral change and food security.

The 7.7 earthquake, that hit Myanmar on 28 March caused widespread damage to homes, schools, health centres and public infrastructure in Mandalay and Sagaing. The earthquake compounds an already dire humanitarian situation where nearly 20 million people already needed humanitarian assistance across the country due to prolonged conflict, recurring natural disasters and economic collapse. Children and their families who have lost their homes are now dealing with extreme heat and expected rain or thundershowers, further deepening those already critical needs, especially for shelter. World Vision is providing live-saving relief assistance to the children and their families affected by the earthquake. Through our humanitarian efforts, both immediate relief and long-term recovery, we aim to support 500,000 people, including 85,057 boys and 86,902 girls. As of 8 April 2025, we have reached 22,063 people affected by the earthquake, including 6574 children (3,830 girls, 2,744 boys).

Welcome to Our 2024 Annual Report In 2024, World Vision Rwanda continued its commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their communities. Through impactful interventions in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Resilience and Livelihoods, Child Protection, and Education, we reached thousands across the country with life-changing support. Education remained at the heart of our efforts, with more than 939,700 children benefiting from our Unlock Literacy and Learning Roots programs,gaining essential reading skills and school readiness to thrive in their learning journey. Beyond education, we expanded our reach,bringing clean water to communities, empowering families through financial inclusion, and strengthening resilience and livelihoods. None of these achievements would be possible without the invaluable partnerships we share with the Government of Rwanda, donors, faith leaders, and the communities we serve.
