Tuesday, November 5, 2019

World Vision's Child-focused Disaster Risk Reduction project in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea is operating in schools to educate children on best practices for safeguarding themselves during times of disaster. The project aims to improve inclusive school and community-level disaster preparedness responses to slow onset (drought) and fast onset (tsunami, landslides, floods, volcano and earthquakes) disasters.  It also advocates on inclusive planning highlighting the rights of women, people with disabilities, youth and children in the ten selected schools and communities.
