World Vision, in partnership with MA’AN Development Center and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has successfully completed a large‑scale mural competition across 40 Palestinian communities under the Green Palestine Project. The Project strengthens climate resilience and enhances environmental stewardship through capacity building, community initiatives, and awareness programs across targeted communities and governorates.

The initiative brought together green committees, children, youth, caregivers, and local artists to create public murals promoting environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and sustainable community behaviors.

The murals focused on:

  • Conserving water and energy

  • Proper waste management and reducing pollution

  •  Encouraging sustainable, eco‑friendly practices

This inclusive effort strengthened community ownership and local leadership in addressing environmental and climate challenges.

A technical committee selected the top five murals based on creativity, environmental relevance, participation, and sustainability.

By merging art with environmental education, the project leaves behind lasting, community owned messages that inspire action toward a greener, more climate resilient Palestine.
