Women Deliver Conference, Kigali, July 2023

World Vision MEERO and Lebanon teams attended the Women Deliver Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, from 17 to 20 July 2023 to ensure women and girls’ concerns were taken into account through evidence-based advocacy and engagement.

We hosted a side event on “Empowered Aid” together with the Global Women’s Institute at the George Washington University that highlighted findings from our research on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) prevention in humanitarian distribution settings. Our Regional Director Eleanor Monbiot also spoke about the situation of girls and their needs in Jordan, Turkiye, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq at the UNFPA side event on “Adolescent girls as agents of change in the Arab world.”
