A year of commitment to children: a media gathering under the khaïma

Held under a traditional khaïma at World Vision Mauritania’s headquarters, the media gathering brought together national and international journalists to highlight  the organisation's achievements in 2024 and foster direct dialogue with the press. The programme included an institutional presentation, a short film screening, one-on-one interviews, and testimonies from partners and community members.

The evening provided an opportunity to review the results achieved with communities, authorities and technical partners. Discussions emphasised the importance of integrated field interventions and the central focus on child protection and well-being. Dedicated interview slots allowed journalists to dive deeper into the most relevant topics.

The voice of faith leaders

Imam Hademine Saleck, President of the Network of Imams and Ulemas for the Defence of Children’s Rights and Family Well-being, shared testimony about his collaboration with World Vision Mauritania. He emphasised that these joint actions align with Islamic principles and help protect children within their communities. This convergence of values strengthens legitimacy and facilitates community ownership.
