Nahin’s journey began at nine, when he joined World Vision Bangladesh as a Registered Child. Growing up in a small family, he carried dreams he could barely name and a quiet struggle he could barely express.

Through Child Forum activities and Life Skills-Based Education (LSBE) classes, he discovered tools to navigate life: decision-making, managing emotions, communicating effectively, and building confidence. These sessions became his safe space, offering lessons no textbook could teach.

As he entered adolescence, Nahin joined the Innovation Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) classes. At first, the topics personal safety, reproductive health, menstruation, and consent felt uncomfortable. But soon, he realized that his questions, confusion, and fears were valid. Learning about his body and his rights gave him a sense of clarity, courage, and healing.

What once made him anxious—physical changes, new emotions, and societal expectations was replaced by confidence and understanding. Inspired, Nahin took on the role of a peer educator, guiding other adolescents through the same challenges he had faced. His personal journey became a source of leadership, turning silence into purpose.

Now 20 and a first-year Honors student, he carries forward the knowledge, empathy, and confidence nurtured by World Vision’s Bangladesh’s programmes. He believes that the spirit of the Innovation Classes can continue through youth like him, empowering others to understand their bodies, emotions, and rights.

Nahin’s story shows how timely information, guidance, and peer support can transform fear into strength and curiosity into leadership.
