I am an indigenous woman who was forced to leave Crimea with my husband who left first in 2016, and all of us, our two children and a cat in 2017, as the occupation began.

It was a very difficult and heart-wrenching decision for us. We must leave our families and friends behind, the memories and places that were part of our life.

But today, I realized why, and I am very glad, even relieved, that we are on the other side and that I have the opportunity to work in an organization like World Vision that helps people who have suffered a lot of grief and need support.

I have over ten years of experience in the field of human resources. I also worked previously as an engineer, economist, and university lecturer.  My shift happened when I realized I can help people. This carved a place in my heart for human resources field and recruitment.

As a People and Culture (P&C) Officer, I help not only the candidate for the job to choose the right company, but also the organization to make its ideal choice.

I nurtured the dream to work for an organization whose activities are aimed at helping people. I found my dream job in World Vision coming true and everything I had been looking for.

In 2022, when the full-scale invasion in Ukraine began, we decided to move with our family to the countryside, where we spent over a month. When I returned, I immediately started looking for ways to help people, the military, and whatever contribution to my country.

At first, I worked weaving nets, but later I found my place in Yangoly UA, a volunteer organization mobilizing specialists to reach out to areas and groups in need. I worked and at the same time dedicated my free time in volunteering.

I nurtured the dream to work for an organization whose activities are aimed at helping people. I found my dream job in World Vision coming true and everything I had been looking for.

My job as a P&C Officer resonates with me, and importantly, World Vision’s mission, vision and Christian values.

I am proud to help create a powerful team that is doing good for Ukraine and its people who are in urgent need for assistance in such difficult times. I believe with all my soul that our freedom-loving, and indestructible country will have the peace and harmony we all hope for.
