On the busy Sunamganj Road at Tuker Bazar in Sylhet, a small signboard reads Ma Mobile Servicing and Telecom. Inside, Ifty spends his days repairing phones, changing screens, and helping customers who walk in with technical problems they cannot solve on their own. For Ifty, this shop is more than a workplace. It is the result of patience, learning, and a strong desire to stand on his own feet.

Living in Haidarpur , Ifty always wanted to do something that could support his family. While he had basic knowledge of mobile servicing, he knew he needed proper training to improve. That opportunity came when he joined a one-month mobile servicing course arranged by the Sylhet Area Programme of World Vision Bangladesh in FY25.
The training gave him practical lessons he could apply immediately. He learned updated repair techniques, better troubleshooting methods, and how to handle customers with confidence. What changed most was not only his skill, but his mindset. He began to see real possibilities for his small business.

Today, Ifty earns between BDT 12,000 and 15,000 each month. Customers trust his work, and he takes pride in solving their problems quickly and carefully. He now dreams of expanding his shop and adding more services in the future.

Ifty is one of 2,736 young people who received skills development training through World Vision Bangladesh in FY25. His journey shows how the right guidance and practical learning can help young people turn simple knowledge into a steady livelihood and a hopeful future.
