The threat of being displaced at home

Nearly 500,000 Syrian refugees have found refuge in Jordan. Their safety, however, is causing hardships on host countries and communities. Tamadour, a mother of four, was barely able to make ends meet before conflict broke out in neighbouring Syria. Today, because of the increase in demand, everything is more expensive. She and her children face eviction as their landlord looks to make extra money by renting their place to higher-paying Syrian refugees.
