3 months later: studying in a tent

Three months after Typhoon Haiyan, thousands of students and teachers are still holding classes in partly damaged classrooms and tents used as temporary learning spaces. They endure the discomfort of studying in makeshift tents with very limited and in some cases no school supplies, textbooks and instructional materials.

Jinky is one of those students who hope the situation will get better when the new school year starts in June. These children's futures will be defined by the quality of education they get now, and thousands of classrooms still need to be repaired and replaced.
