Water Project To Build Bridges Between Communities

Monday, December 14, 2015

The citizens of Ablah and Taalabaya, in Central Bekaa, Lebanon, are suffering from water scarcity. In such villages the water network, laid as early as 1950s, needs significant improvement. With funds from the European Union, World Vision will work with the Bekaa Water Establishment in two villages in  Bekaa - Ablah and Taalabaya - to expand the water network and household connections for vulnerable Lebanese host communities, and Syrian refugees, thereby increasing access to basic water and preventing waterborne diseases. The project will also strengthen the importance of water conservation and healthy hygiene practices.
