The UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) was convened on 23 September 2021 by the United Nation’s Secretary General. The Summit was the culmination of 18-months of work by thousands of diverse actors, including significant contributions by Member States, who came together to build collective will and action to transform food systems towards achieving the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals. With up to 811 million people going hungry in a world of plenty, World Vision is working in partnership with key stakeholders to build more inclusive, resilient and sustainable food systems that improve the food security, nutrition, health, and education for the most vulnerable children, families and communities.
