      A project against malnutrition is transforming lives in Niger
      In the village of Angoual Gao, the lives of Aichatou Sahidou and her six children have been transformed by World Vision’s “Improving Nutrition and Food Security” project. Faced with severe malnutrition, a nutrition center was established to teach mothers how to cook nutritious meals. Today, the children are healthier, families raise goats for milk, and women are developing their savings and entrepreneurship skills.

      DR Congo: How The Market Gardening Is Boosting Community Resilience In Sambwa AP
      This article highlights how World Vision DRC’s support to the Mapendo association in Sambwa (Haut-Katanga province) has strengthened community resilience through dry-season vegetable farming. Faced with shorter rainy seasons and limited access to inputs, local farmers received fertilisers, seeds, and technical training that enabled them to set up an experimental collective field. By adopting improved techniques such as organic manure use, crop rotation, and efficient water management, the group achieved promising yields and established a community fund for reinvestment. The initiative not only enhanced food security and household income but also aligned with World Vision’s ENOUGH campaign, which seeks to combat malnutrition and promote sustainable local production.

      DR congo: How Jérôme, a Neighbourhood Chief, Became a Model of Positive Masculinity for His Community
      This human-interest story highlights the inspiring transformation of Jérôme, a neighbourhood chief from the rural commune of LUIZA in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Once guided by traditional gender norms that placed the entire domestic burden on his wife, Jérôme’s perspective changed after attending a positive masculinity training organised by World Vision with support from the European Union and the World Food Programme. Motivated by the lessons he learned, Jérôme began sharing household and agricultural responsibilities, leading to improved family health, increased income, and renewed harmony in his home. His actions have since inspired other men in his community to adopt more equitable roles within their families.

      Un projet de lutte contre la malnutrition transforme des vies au Niger
      Dans le village d’Angoual Gao, la vie d’Aichatou Sahidou et de ses six enfants a changé grâce au projet « Amélioration de la Nutrition et de la Sécurité Alimentaire » de World Vision. Face à la malnutrition sévère, un centre de nutrition a été mis en place pour enseigner aux mères comment cuisiner des repas nutritifs. Aujourd’hui, les enfants sont en meilleure santé, les familles élèvent des chèvres pour le lait, et les femmes développent leurs compétences en épargne et en entrepreneuriat.
