Freyhiwot is a communications, advocacy and leadership professional with extensive experience across humanitarian, development and media sectors in Ethiopia and internationally. Her career has focused on strategic communications, behaviour change, youth engagement and strengthening partnerships that support vulnerable communities.

She has led and advised programmes in areas including migration, health innovation, nutrition, reproductive health, agriculture and development communications, working with organisations such as Precision Development, the Danish Refugee Council, Farm Radio International, and Save the Children.

Freyhiwot is especially passionate about using communication and advocacy to create informed, empowered and resilient communities. Her experience in media, public engagement and capacity building contributes strongly to child wellbeing efforts by helping families and communities access information, services and opportunities that improve lives.

She believes effective communication is essential for driving social change, strengthening partnerships and ensuring that development programmes create lasting and meaningful impact for children and vulnerable populations.
