Keeping Children in Good Health

World Vision is committed to improving the health and nutrition of women and children in the areas in which it works, contributing to the global reduction of under-five and maternal mortality. With malnutrition the underlying cause of 35% of under-five deaths, World Vision works within communities to improve the nutritional status of children by focusing interventions on two target populations - pregnant women and children under two years. World Vision also works in communities hardest hit by in justices, recoginizing that Maternal health is the most critical determinant of neonatal outcome, and a healthy newborn is the best promise for the future.
