World Vision West Africa Advocacy Statement - World Humanitarian Day 2025
Download
In West Africa, conflict, climate change and instability are placing millions of families into hunger, displacement and loss of access to essential services.
In 2024, 383 aid workers lost their lives, even as funding dwindled and crises intensified. Despite the dangers, humanitarian workers, often local women leaders, continue to provide food, water and protection.
To mark World Humanitarian Day, World Vision is calling for action to protect and support humanitarians, who are essential to the survival of over 300 million people. World Vision urges the international community to strengthen security, fund life-saving aid and guarantee a dignified future for every child in crisis.
