Discover how World Vision is advancing Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action (ESCA) through integrated, child-centred programmes across 69 countries. Our new Technical Capacity Statement showcases the expertise, partnerships, and results driving this work, from ecosystem restoration and climate-smart agriculture to carbon programming and disaster risk reduction.

Explore some of the impact achieved so far:

  • More than 10 million people, including 4 million children, participated in ESCA-related programmes.
  • USD 369 million has been invested in environmental sustainability and climate action initiatives.
  • More than 1.6 million hectares of degraded land are under protection and restoration.
  • Over 1 million people have been trained in sustainable agricultural practices.
  • At least 4,800 disaster risk management committees have been established.
  • World Vision’s carbon portfolio is expected to reduce more than 12 million tCO₂e.

The statement also highlights World Vision’s ambitious goals to restore 27 million hectares of degraded land by 2033 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
