In response to rising food insecurity and child malnutrition in Bangladesh, the 48 Days Student Farmers project equips students with hands-on agricultural training to improve household nutrition and build climate resilience. Currently being implemented, the project is engaging 500 students—most from vulnerable families—in a 48-day learning cycle that promotes homestead gardening and sustainable farming practices. By transforming unused school and homestead land into productive gardens, students enhance their leadership skills and act as change agents in their communities. This innovative approach integrates education, food security, and environmental stewardship, and is currently being monitored for long-term impact and sustainability.
