World Vision East Africa 2022 Annual Report
Tuesday, April 11, 2023

For more than 40 years, World Vision has partnered with communities in East Africa. This inaugural regional annual report looks at the impact of our work in 2022 as we go further and continue to serve the region's most vulnerable children and their families, in some of the most hard-to-reach areas and fragile contexts.

Last year we reached 13 million children (of a total 23 million people) in East Africa, through more than 900 projects and interventions. World Vision has 6,500 staff working in nine countries in the region - Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

Our decades of experience have taught us that the most effective way to transform lives is through a holistic approach. Our strategy is a promise to build brighter futures for vulnerable children in East Africa, where we integrate the global Sustainable Development Goals into our own development and humanitarian emergency response programming.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure all children are cared for, protected, educated, and feel loved. Our Vision for every child, life in all its fullness, and our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so.

We invite you to read this report and pray it inspires you to engage further with our region.
