Peru: Our meals, our voice

In Peru, World Vision is championing a child-led approach to school meals research as part of its SUFICIENTE (ENOUGH) campaign. This initiative empowers children to take the lead in exploring the realities of school meal programmes by conducting interviews, focus groups, and surveys with their peers. Through their lived experiences, children identified key challenges, gaps, and opportunities for improving access to nutritious meals in schools. 

The research not only sheds light on the barriers children face but also elevates their aspirations for a future where every student can thrive. By placing children’s voices at the centre of national and global advocacy, this initiative is driving meaningful change in Peru’s school nutrition landscape.
