Navigating the Nexus: A Brighter Future for Children in Urban Contexts in Lebanon

The following case study examines World Vision’s experience implementing a nexus approach for programming in Lebanon following the multiple crises in Lebanon (Port of Beirut explosion, socio-economic crises and response to refugees from Syria) amidst the pandemic, while still continuing with development programming and contributing to social cohesion in a highly diverse urban context. World Vision’s adaptation of programming to strengthen linkages among humanitarian, development and peacebuilding objectives in Lebanon has identified a number of key enabling factors for nexus work to be successful. The report looks at these factors and makes recommendations for the future.
