Rwanda - November 2018 Situation Report
- Refugee population: There are an estimated 174,922 refugees living in Rwanda, of these over 54% are from Burundi while, slightly over 45% are from the Democratic Republic of Congo and the rest are from other nationalities (figures as of October 2017).
- DRC election preparedness: World Vision has been part of an inter-agency contingency planning task force led by UNHCR and the Ministry in charge of disaster management, to provide a timely response to the possible influx of refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- Supporting education for refugees: World Vision continues to support education interventions in five refugee camps through payment of school fees, school feeding, and incentives for refugee teachers. At least 27,000 refugees are being supported to access primary and secondary education.
