World Vision Angola and TotalEnergies Join Forces for Sustainable Development
The fruitful partnership established with TotalEnergies, the project's financier, will benefit 7,000 direct beneficiaries, including fishermen, entrepreneurs, members of cooperatives and fishermen's associations, with contributions that promote participation and social cohesion; the production value chain, technical and organisational capacity to access new markets, preventive and curative health, environmental sustainability in the two regions where it will be present.

World Vision says reports of Gazan children starving to death is ‘of grave concern’
International aid agency World Vision is deeply concerned by the increasing reports of children dying from starvation in the Gaza Strip even after the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), an independent and apolitical mechanism, warned of the increasing risk of famine in December 2023.

Price Shocks: Economic gains masking a growing hunger and malnutrition crisis
World Vision's annual price survey analyses global food prices over the past three years. This Price Shocks report is a continuation of our 2021 and 2022 studies with findings showing a slight dip in the highest costs of living for some while others remain at previously marked crisis levels. This year's findings continue to underscore the uneven recovery from the socioeconomic shocks from COVID-19, inflation, and extreme weather and indicates a disparity of food prices, both in the current cost of the basket of 10 common food items and in the year-on-year comparisons. We provide insight into the year-on-year changes and share recommendations on mitigation for various audiences.

ZANACO Bank’s partnership with World Vision Zambia gifts 50 bicycle to vulnerable school girls
In a touching demonstration of corporate social responsibility, Zambia National Commercial (ZANACO) Bank has donated 50 bicycles to World Vision Zambia’s Strong Girls Strong Zambia campaign with the aim of supporting vulnerable girls on their journey towards empowerment and education in Mufumbwe District.
The donation event hosted at World Vision’s Distribution Centre, marked a significant milestone in the collaboration and running partnership between the ZANACO and World Vision.
In December 2023, World Vision Zambia, in partnership with World Bicycle Relief Zambia launched a fundraiser to buy 2,000 bicycles for vulnerable girls to shorten their commute time to school. And ZANACO, during the launch committed and pledged 175,000 Kwacha towards the purchase of 50 bicycles to support the campaign.
