Friday, September 5, 2014

World Vision Sierra Leone (WVSL) is cooperating with government and other agencies in the fight against the Ebola virus, which has already claimed more than 1,900 lives in Sierra Leone and neighbouring countries. First, with donations of medical supplies, such as rubber and plastic gloves and water purification tablets, to hospitals and health facilities. Second, through community sensitzation (actors doing street performances) that spread key messages about the virus, and combat misinformation. Third, by engaging pastors and imams to educate their congregations on Ebola. And lastly, working with chiefs and key community leaders in all operational districts to develop action plans.
