War in Ukraine contributing to the global hunger crisis

Tuesday, June 21, 2022

Ukraine is one of the world's largest exporters of grain, but war is chocking off supplies and contributing to a global hunger crisis. If farmers are unable to export their products, the problem will only grow worse as they will not be able to invest in next year's harvest either.

The lack of grain exports is making an already difficult situation desperate for many who rely on imports or humanitarian support.

At World Vision, we are doing everything in our power to provide food for the world's most vulnerable, but more assistance is urgently needed.
