World Vision Eswatini Meets with U.S. Embassy to Forge New Paths for Community Impact
Ezulwini Valley, Eswatini — September 17, 2025
In a powerful show of partnership and shared vision, World Vision Eswatini’s National Director, Amos Zaindi, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Marc A. Weinstock, at the Embassy offices in Ezulwini. The meeting marked a renewed commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at uplifting communities across Eswatini.
The two leaders explored win-win solutions for both communities and the private sector, building on a strong foundation of past cooperation. Previous joint efforts include impactful HIV prevention and mental health programmes funded by PEPFAR/USAID, as well as the Refugee Project supported by the Julia Taft Fund and implemented in partnership with the UNHCR and the Ministry of Home Affairs in Eswatini.
Zaindi shared exciting news: World Vision Eswatini has just launched a bold new five-year strategy focused on key national priorities. These include:
- Expanding access to clean water
- Empowering youth through skills development
- Promoting inclusive financing for sustainable initiatives
“Our model is about transforming communities—working hand-in-hand with government and partners through complementary resourcing,” said Zaindi.
The meeting also spotlighted the Malindza Refugee Reception Centre decongestion initiative, which involves relocating refugees to Ndzevane, where over 100 hectares of land have been allocated by the Government of Eswatini for livelihood development. Both parties emphasised the need for a sustainable, business-driven model to ensure long-term success for both refugees and host communities.
Also in attendance were the U.S. Embassy’s Political Economic Officer Allen C. Hodges and World Vision Eswatini’s Operations Director Sakhile Dlamini.
This meeting signals a promising chapter of deeper collaboration, innovation, and community transformation.
