Since the escalation began in the Middle East in early March 2026, World Vision Lebanon has been providing assistance that includes psycho-social and recreational services for children.

More than 1 million people in Lebanon have been forced to flee their homes and are now displaced in their own country. This includes 390,000 children without a home.

Nearly 176,000 people have been reached, including over 61,500 children, among displaced Lebanese and newly arrived Syrians across more than 430 shelters.

World Vision Middle East & Eastern Europe Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Adviser Mike Kirakossian explains how World Vision and the humanitarian sector as a whole focuses on the mental health of the most vulnerable children in a conflict or crisis.
