This initiative aims to enhance understanding of safeguarding principles, ensuring media professionals are equipped to protect the rights and dignity of children and vulnerable communities in their stories. By prioritizing the best interests of children, the workshop seeks to foster a responsible media environment in Cambodia, encouraging reporting that contributes to meaningful social change.

“Education is not a privilege, it is a fundamental right essential for building a future full of hope and resilience” says Nersyan, 16. Along with several other Palestinian children, she told us about the formidable barriers that Palestinian children are facing when trying to continue learning. However, she reminds us that quality humanitarian programmes can make a difference and help Palestinian children to realize their right to education.

Palestinian children have the right to a safe, healthy environment. However, the West Bank remains one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable regions, facing many urgent environmental challenges. Action to protect the West Bank’s environment is therefore both critical and urgent. Through the Green Palestine project, implemented by World Vision, in partnership with the MA’AN Development Center and with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Palestinian children are taking the lead in defending their heritage and future.

In 2024, we reached 17.9 million people, including 9.5 million children, and responded to over 16 emergencies across the region. From food security and health to protection and education, our work has brought tangible relief and hope to families affected by crisis.
