This Strategic Direction defines the path of World Vision’s child participation work for the next five years. It is also designed to support the second priority identified by National Offices and Boards in the President’s 2013 Council Partnership Participation Survey:  “Enhancing Children and Young People's Participation."
This is a strategic way forward to advance World Vision’s work in this area and help position World Vision as a leading organisation in the field of child participation. It was developed with the guidance of an Advisory Group composed of over 50 child participation experts and practitioners across the Partnership, mostly from National and Regional Offices.

Included in the Strategic Direction document are five key priorities, each with a set of deliverables:

1.      Integrate and mainstream child participation

2.      Increase and strengthen child structures

3.      Promote accountability to children

4.      Build capacities and improve resources

5.      Improve knowledge management
