Faith and development builds bridges between divided families in Tonj North County
This feature story highlights how Faith and Development is building peace in Tonj North County through the leadership of Rev. Mary Awien. Once divided by tribal conflict, communities are now reconnecting through peace dialogues, shared markets, and reconciliation songs. Deborah's Story: Learning Against the Odds
Every day, Deborah walks into a muddy classroom at Situnga Primary School in Western Province. Before lessons begin, she searches for a seat instead of settling in to learn. The broken floor and poor infrastructure steal her attention and, with time, her chance at an education.
No child should lose the opportunity to learn because a classroom fails to hold up. Deborah deserves a safe, dry space where she sits, focuses and grows, because every learner in Situnga carries the promise of a brighter future.
