Moving towards a more cohesive approach in programming and concentrating efforts to intentionally target the most vulnerable children and families across all programs allows World Vision’s Child Protection Services and Advocacy unit to effectively serve the most vulnerable children. The continuum of services (prevention, protection and rehabilitation) that is established within the framework of the unit serves families in crisis, single mothers and children living and working in the streets and provides various interventions to fulfill their basic care and developmental needs. Efforts to achieve sustainable change are concentrated on micro, mezzo and macro levels through direct service provision, frontline staff capacity building and advocacy on local and national levels.
