World Vision has been supporting women farmers in Ramkot VDC with various activities like training in off season vegetable farming, commercial  farming, tunnel farming, livestock farming and creating market for agricultural produce.

Naresh Dhungel, Field Community Development Assistant of Kathmandu Area Development Programme, World Vision says, “After training and supports in improving agriculture and livestock farming, the farmers in the VDC have increased their income and invested it in their children’s education and well being.”

World Vision has helped form farmers’ groups, provided training and agriculture inputs like seeds, plastic tunnel and tools in Ramkot VDC. The groups have established agricultural collection centres, operate them and have united to form a cooperative which is registered in the District Cooperative Division Office.
