Wednesday, July 2, 2025

In 2025, millions of children face worsening crises—from conflict to climate shocks—while child-focused Official Development Assistance (ODA) is in sharp decline. Despite strong evidence that investing in children yields high returns, ODA for child-related sectors dropped from 15% in 2022 to 11.5% in 2023, with projections as low as 7% by 2030.

This report calls for urgent action to reverse this trend, emphasising that prioritising children is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic investment in global stability, prosperity, and peace.
