The recently launched Humanitarian Partners Platform (HPP) has concluded a Rapid Needs Assessment in response to the severe floods and inundations that affected Mozambique’s central and southern regions.

This assessment represents one of the platform’s first collective actions, aligned with its objectives to jointly plan and coordinate the response to the 2025/26 rainy and cyclone season. Beyond informing immediate response priorities, the assessment seeks to strengthen coordination among humanitarian actors and build the capacity of local organizations to take a leading role in emergency preparedness and response.
