At World Vision, we believe every child has a right to education and that education can protect and support children affected by crises. Our framework focuses on providing inclusive, quality education during emergencies by integrating protection, health, and other services to help children learn, recover, and build resilience – especially for vulnerable and displaced children.
Worldwide, World Vision International (WVI) works to ensure vulnerable children have access to education, trusting that all children can learn and families can help support their learning.
In Ukraine, WVI Ukraine (WV-UCR) implements Education in Emergencies (EiE) programmes across frontline regions, supporting refugee, internally displaced, and local children through:
- Catch-Up Education
- Play-Based Learning
- IMPACT+ for Adolescents
- Caregiver Engagement
Our goal is to ensure the most vulnerable children, including those with disabilities, displaced populations, and those in crisis, can access quality learning opportunities that lay the groundwork for lifelong success. Within this broad approach, play-based methods are used strategically to support learning, healing, and development - especially where children face adversity.
