World Vision Reaches 1,355 People Following Nepal Flash Floods
As of 4 September 2026, World Vision International Nepal has reached 1,355 people affected by the flash floods, including 182 children sheltering in three evacuation centres in Bidur Municipality. Assistance has included emergency food, water purification tablets, and shelter kits to help families meet their immediate needs.
Working alongside government authorities and humanitarian partners, World Vision has launched a 90-day emergency response targeting 10,000 people across 2,000 households. To date, the response has delivered life-saving support, including food assistance, shelter and household items, water purification supplies, solar lights, hygiene kits, dignity kits for women and girls, and psychosocial support.
Response Priorities in the Relief Phase (First 30 Days) include, emergency food assistance, shelter kits and essential household items, hygiene and WASH support, including assistance for pregnant and lactating women, protection support and dignity kits for women and girls and psychosocial support for children and families.
In the Recovery Phase, the response will prioritise livelihood recovery and WASH support and help children return to learning and reconnect with essential services, restoring a sense of normalcy and wellbeing.
