Listening to the plight of children

Tuesday, August 9, 2016

In preparation for its next lobbying campaign, World Vision has organised workshops for sharing and discussing experiences deep in the most vulnerable communities in the municipality of Missirah in the region of Tambacounda.

These forums were open to all children from primary/elementary, middle and secondary/high schools so that they could express themselves, give a name to forms of abuse that they might be routinely experiencing, and to have such disclosures taken forward.

In its work on the ground, World Vision cooperates closely with the communities concerned and always lends a sympathetic ear to its beneficiaries. The aim is to get children involved in finding out about their rights and to encourage them to become agents of their own protection.
