World Vision International and the African Union signs MoU to partner in multisectoral development areas (23 February 2023, Addis Ababa)

World Vision and the African Union signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 23 February 2023 for three years, to partner in health, humanitarian and emergency response, social development, child protection, and peace and security. The parties agreed to join efforts and to maintain a close and continuous working relationship for the achievement of their common objectives.

World Vision is committed to partner with the African Union Commission in the objectives set out in the MOU which focus on health, humanitarian and emergency response, social development, child protection, peace and security. The objectives will increase knowledge and skills, capacity development and technical support, joint research and studies, develop innovative programmes, partnership forums and AU interfaith dialogues.  A joint work plan will be developed and implemented by both organisations.

World Vision International Vice President and East Africa Regional Leader, Ms. Lilian Dodzo said, “World Vision is grateful for the collaboration and partnership with the African Union Commission which has impacted the lives of the most vulnerable children, their families and communities. This new MOU between the African Union Commission and World Vision International enables us keep Our Promise to collaborate and advocate for greater impact and ignite a continental movement in the way the world treats children.”
