From Newcomers to Changemakers: Young Refugees Unite to Empower Youth in Georgia

Ahmed from Saudi Arabia and Abdi from Somalia arrived in Georgia several years ago, each bringing with them unique stories and experiences that led them to seek a new life in a different country. From the very beginning, they showed remarkable motivation and energy—quickly learning the local language and becoming actively involved in their new community.

Both began working with World Vision Georgia as community mobilisers, where their dedication and leadership stood out. Eventually, they founded their own NGO and, in parallel, started implementing inspiring projects aimed at helping young people from diverse backgrounds integrate and connect with local youth.
