Meeting between World Vision and 11 pre-selected local NGOs
As part of its localization policy, World Vision Niger organized a meeting on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at its National Office in Niamey, with 11 pre-selected local NGOs to finalize their partnership. This initiative comes at a time when collaboration with local actors has become essential to ensure sustainable actions that are truly adapted to the realities of Niger.
The session followed a clear agenda, presented at the outset:
- A general introduction to set the stage for the meeting.
- A presentation of World Vision, including its vision, mission, and values.
- A reminder of the safeguarding and protection principles that guide all of the organization's interventions.
- A presentation on the current strategy, the national context, and the factors that justify the priorities for action.
- An explanation of the co-creation process and the mechanism for pre-selecting NGO partners.
- A clarification of the policy on gifts and conflicts of interest.
- A presentation of corruption prevention measures and compliance requirements.
- Finally, an update on the status of NGOs in their relationship with the government, followed by a discussion to ensure that all organizations understand the decisions and expectations of the partnership.
The discussions highlighted the importance of speaking the same language in order to align visions and work consistently. In this context, the three priorities of the new strategy were presented: improving children's nutrition, strengthening their protection, and developing their reading skills, with inclusion as a cross-cutting principle.
The meeting also highlighted a new dynamic: co-creation. This involves joint fundraising, shared project implementation, transparency in decision-making processes, and collective responsibility for risk management.
It thus marks an important step toward building stronger, more balanced, and sustainable partnerships. By joining forces, we strengthen our collective capacity to serve communities and bring about lasting change in the lives of children in Niger. The challenges are many, but they become more manageable when tackled together.
