50 organisations collaborate to produce first-ever global action report on preterm birth

Child Health Now is delighted to announce the publication of the report entitled Born too Soon in the open access journal Reproductive Health. The report provided the first-ever national, regional and global estimates of preterm birth and the major findings of the report are expanded upon in six new review articles.

This report was edited by Jose Belizan and Pierre Buekens on behalf of the journal, and Christopher P Howson, Mary V Kinney and Joy E Lawn on behalf of the Born Too Soon Preterm Birth Action Group. It is now freely available to read on the Reproductive Health website.

Born Too Soon is a global action report published in 2012 which involved collaboration from more than 50 organisations.

The articles are jointly funded by the charities Save the Children and March of Dimes and published in collaboration with the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and World Health Organization (WHO).
