Facilities Officer
POSITION: Facilities Officer
OPEN TO: All interested Ethiopian Nationals (Female applicants are encouraged)

1. Major Responsibilities:
- Manages and performs all work related to the maintenance of buildings including partition, plumbing, cleaning, gardening, cafeteria service, generator, electrical and telephone, etc.
- Maintains accurate records of all maintenance and repairs/performs repairs as needed
- Develops and manages the facility work order system
- Assigns tasks to facility technician and other support personnel
- Provides a weekly status update on process
- Monitors service provision of out-sourced services such as cleaning, painting, and landscaping/gardening.
- Supervise contractors and vendors as they relate to maintenance
- Implement procedures for handling, storing, safekeeping, and destruction of hazardous materials.
- Ensure expat staff house and facilities are well managed
- Develops and maintains a relationship with all contactors and vendors ensuring efficient facility operations.
- Promotes a positive team attitude with employees and venders
- Ensure buildings and materials are kept safe
- Monitor the day to day performance of security guards
2. Qualifications Required: The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- Qualification required: BA in Business Studies and /or related fields
3. Work Experience and Skill Required:
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience preferably holding similar position.
- Technical training qualifications required: knowledge of material, facilities maintenance and security excellent communication skill excellent English language skills and excellent interpersonal skills, excellent team building skills, flexible, efficient and cooperative, commitment to WVI’s aims, values and principles, computer skill (EXCEL and Word, Excel) is essential, honest and trustworthy, demonstrate sound work ethics.
