TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:   2 years contract

As an International Christian Humanitarian Development organization, World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is trusted to deliver community service through its 69 Area Development programs (ADPs) located in seven regional states of the country.  Currently, WVE envisions a thriving organization where our improved business processes come together to transform and model organizational leadership built on sustainable practices. Hence, Homosha Assosa ADP, Benishangul Gumuz POO has an immediate opening for a person who fulfills the following qualification.

1. Major Responsibilities:

  • Engage in developing work plans, implementation and monitoring of health and HIV/AIDS project;
  • Engage in implementation of the roll out of Core HIV/AIDS models and prepare CHARMS reports and submit to the ADP;
  • Provide technical support to other facilitators in their effort to fully and adequately integrate Health, HIV & AIDS and nutrition interventions in their respective kebele administration;
  • Network with relevant stakeholders and participate in regional, zonal and woreda level health, nutrition and HIV/AIDS forums;
  • Plan, facilitate, organize and conduct trainings on Health, HIV & AIDS and nutrition for communities, ADP’s staff, and other stakeholders;
  • Play strong advocacy role in sensitizing the communities for promotion of health practices, elimination of harmful traditions in the ADP operational area;
  • Facilitate and engage the community and stakeholders in participatory assessment to identify prevailing health problems;
  • Work closely with the Health and HIV & AIDS officer in identifying best practices and lessons learned and develop buy in and facilitate dissemination in the ADP;
  • Prepare and submit regular progress report with regard to Health, HIV & AIDS and nutrition project;
  • Participate in all Health, HIV & AIDS and nutrition related situation assessment in the ADP operational areas;

2. Qualification required: BSc in public Health and related field,

3. Work Experience and Skills Required:

  • At least 2 years & above relevant experiences

Other Competencies/Attributes:

  • Computer literate (Operate MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Perform other duties as required.

5. Place of Work:  Assosa, Benshangul Gumuz Regional State (Homosha Assosa ADP) with frequent travel to the field;
