Ethiopian youth join hands with young people from 13 countries on World Vision Cup

Five World Vision Ethiopia’s youth advocates (two girls and three boys) are taking part in World Vision Cup in Brazil. Representing Ethiopian children, the youth are conveying messages related to maternal and child health to various participants drawn from all over the world.

During their stay in Brazil, the Ethiopian youth advocate, join hands with 200 young people from 13 countries on the football field to voice against issues of their concern including newborn, child and maternal health.  The event is creating a platform for the youth to call on world leaders to work for a more fair society in which they can enjoy their rights.  In the course of the event, the delegates gathered in Recife are sharing experiences, discussing issues such as violence, child labor and sexual exploitation during workshops, presentations and group discussions.
