AN Innovative Pulse Oximeter to IMPROVE diagnosIS of Childhood Illnesses in Burundi (June 2021 – June 2022)
To support early identification and referral of sick children in low-resource and fragile settings, World Vision Burundi and World Vision International evaluated the accuracy, feasibility, and acceptability of a rugged, portable, handheld device – the Rad-G pulse oximeter – which measures oxygen saturation and pulse.
This innovative tool can support Ministry of Health community health workers in Burundi to more accurately diagnose childhood illnesses, including pneumonia.
